By the time she married he had become a Beerhouse Keeper (see below)

John had two children John (Jack) & Mary Ann by his first wife Minnie (née Penny) who died in 1908
In the 1911 census, Mary Dawes, aged 25, was listed as Parlourmaid at the house Woodlands


12 Unknown couple & location
The lady bears a resemblance to the lady 2nd from L in the above photograph
so possibly this is the sister of Mary who emigrated to the USA & her husband
